There’s a lot going on around this alley but not much in it. It’s a good thing that there is a guardrail to keep the activity in the right place.
This is part of a series of drawings of Chicago alleys, drawn in India ink on Arches 300 pound hot-pressed water color paper with a Rapidograph pen. Coloring was done with Faber Castel Pitt markers. These markers use India ink which use pigment instead of dye ensuring color fastness and resistance to ultraviolet light.
This drawing is shipped matted and ready to frame as shown using archival materials.
