Description
There are many ways to experience an alley. One way is to view it from above, of which there can be several points of view. In this case, you can get a glimpse of it from the Chicago and Franklin elevated stop.
This is part of a series of drawings of Chicago alleys, drawn in India ink on Arches 300 pound hot-pressed water color paper with a Rapidograph pen. Coloring was done with Faber Castel Pitt markers. These markers use India ink which use pigment instead of dye ensuring color fastness and resistance to ultraviolet light.
This drawing is framed and float matted as shown, using archival materials.
